Call Closed: Training Through Research Surveys (TTRS) 2015

Training Through Research Surveys (TTRS) provides exciting opportunities for graduate and postgraduate students and researchers of marine science and technologies to gain valuable data collection experience on dedicated research surveys with leading Irish and European Marine Scientists. This programme is designed to provide mentored training for emerging marine scientists on surveys taking place off the western seaboard of Ireland and ranging as far as Newfoundland.

The TTRS scheme is a collaboration between SMART and the Marine Institute that aims to increase national capacity in marine research and data collection by increasing the skills base of graduate and postgraduate students of marine related sciences through participation in multidisciplinary research surveys on-board the RV Celtic Explorer.

If this sounds like an opportunity to develop your skills, add to your existing seagoing experience and network with established professionals in your chosen discipline please see the links below for descriptions, application forms and deadlines for each survey.
