SEA Semester with SSV Corwith Cramer Historic Seaports of Western Europe 11th - 15th July

SSE Corwith Cramer under sail

On behalf of the Sea Education Association at Woods Hole SMART are offering an exciting opportunity for an educator in marine science or researcher with an interest in marine mammal and seabird observations to join the the SSV Corwith Cramer on their programme, the Historic Seaports of Western Europe. The Corwith Cramer is a 134-foot steel brigantine built as a research vessel for operation under sail and will conduct a series of transects between Cork, Douarnenez, Lisbon and Cadiz from the 9th of July to the 5th of August. This opportunity applies to the July 11th to July 15th leg from Cork to Douarnenez.

The successful applicant will be a guest of the Sea Education Association and their SEA Semester undergraduate education programme.  This is a wonderful opportunity to experience life on-board a tall-ship that operates as a research vessel and we invite applications from students and researchers from third level institutes across the Island of Ireland.

Please note that applicants must be experienced educators with marine megafauna identification skills.  The closing date for applications to join the Corwith Cramer is Wednesday 10th June 2015

To be considered for participation please submit your application.
